Barbara Hirsh

Director, Information Resources, NERA Economic Consulting

Barbara Maynard Hirsh currently is the director of information resources at NERA Economic Consulting and is responsible for the global staff and operations of the NERA Information Resource Centers (IRC). Her present and past experience includes managing libraries, negotiating contracts, developing customized desktop solutions and intranets, designing end-user training programs and developing strong vendor relationships. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, she coordinated and negotiated global contracts for intranet and extranet use. Hirsh also managed research centers within the financial services and market research industries as well as her own consulting firm. Prior to joining the corporate world, Hirsh spent 12 years in academia as a tenured faculty member.

Hirsh has a master’s in library & information science from Rutgers University, a master’s in music from Hartt College of Music (University of Hartford), and a B.A. in music from Douglass College (Rutgers University)
